Katrice, Montrel and Junior are siblings who couldn't be more different, but they all have one thing in common plans for Momma's house.
Katrice was Momma's faithful caregiver until the day she died and wants to make sure that Momma's last wishes for her house are met. Montrel needs the house sold as soon as possible to get out from under the mountain of debt his gold-digging wife has him buried under. Junior needs a place to lay his head in peace, away from the thousands of dollars in back child support.
Will Montrel honor his mother's wishes? Will Junior ever learn to man-up and take care of his responsibilities? As Katrice turns to Christ, will she stop worrying about her brothers long enough to find a life full of hope and the promise of love and restoration?
This is a fun, inspirational short novel that will make you laugh and appreciate the people God puts in your life to conform you to the image of Christ.

I am becoming a big fan of Michelle Stinson, her Mama B series is just wonderful! This book hits on some aspects of family and how the death and wishes of a loved one are sometimes ignored because of our own selfish expectations. Katrice knows what her mother's plans were for her home, her brothers weren't involved in the day to day care of her mother. Montrel lived a couple of hours away and Junior was to busy trying to score to worry about tomorrow. I definitely saw the characters of how some families handle death and how they want to ignore clear instructions from the family member who has left a will with clear instructions. Ms. Stinson really paints a vivid story of what can and does happen in some families, particularly when there are young people involved who are certain of what the "deserve" from their parents. I can only say more people who might be facing the same circumstances should, read and heed the information given in a loving and teaching (not preaching) manner. It's really hard to overcome drama and bad actions and intentions once things have been said and done, that cannot be taken back.
Wonderful read, if a bit stereotypical. The love angle was beautiful and well done.

What About Momma House? What About Book 1 edition by Michelle Stimpson April Dishon Barker Karen McCollum Rodgers Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
The book was a easy reading but still told a powerful story. In these times when black women are shown in the media as clothes hogs, men chasing figures it was good to see a God fearing woman and how her life is changed. The men in the book are believable characters with three different personalities. I'm looking forward to reading more of Michelle's books.
I love, love, LOVE this authoress! No cursing, drug dealers fighting, killer, SEX that's really pornographic by kids too young to be drinking and smoking.
Refreshing way to 'rember your faith and what you learned growing up till 2000 when technology took over, and not in a good way.
ON TO BOOK 2.........
This was a great book about the reality of how death can bring out so many feelings and emotions in a family ...But with God all things are possible...
This book really touched my heart, I went through some of these same things and I thank god I had him and my husband to help me through. Katrice, Montrel, and Junior they All have different views on life and the death of their mother does not make it any better. I believe God and their mother put some things in the works before she went to be with the lord. Death can split a family or bring them closer together. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
What about Momma’s House? By Michelle Stimpson & April Barker!!! This is the story of Katrice, who cared for her sick mother without regrets. After the passing of her mother, her brothers were all about the insurance money. Her brothers gave no assistance in helping care for their mom. Katrice was focused on taking care of her family since a young age. Katrice wanted to honor her mother’s wishes. Katrice had lost her way, but was able to find her way back to God!!
I enjoyed this book. It was very entertaining and there were both laughs and tears...as Momma's three children each have their own agenda on what to do with her house after she passes away.
As usual, with a Michelle Simpson book; it is very well written with an interesting storyline and great characters.
Good job, Ms. Simpson!
This was a fun, easy read, but chocked full of insight into the Black, church family. Much was of tradition for sure, but also was honed in on character development, especially with the siblings. I think as a female raised with male siblings I was really able to form a realistic relationship with Trice, and we are most definitely made up of the Sister Syndrome, and middle child as well. It is unusual to be able to associate that closely with a fictional character, wow!! I am definitely interested in reading the sequel to find out what happens in the lives of each of these siblings. The flow of the story was light at a time I wanted to read but was maybe low on concentration so the timing was right also.
